From the moment my family met Alison, we knew that we had made the right decision in our choice of Celebrant. Her warmth and empathy never waivered throughout the stages from initial meeting to the final committal of my mum. She held a space for us, which provided a strong container to remember our mum in a way which honoured her life in a beautiful and personal way. Nothing was too much trouble for Alison.
We chose to write our own eulogy, which she presented on the day in a way that was deeply touching, it was almost as if she had known our mum herself. The whole experience gave us a chance to feel included in a process, which can often get taken over by strangers and can feel out of reach.
Alison’s care and support of us as a family was a key part in allowing us to be ourselves and to offer mum the fitting send-off she deserved.
“I recently worked with Alison and It was a pleasure to work with someone so warm and caring. From the initial call, to following everything through with me, and keeping me updated of any changes. On listening to the service, she came across so well. It is a unique skill to bring other people’s memories alive at a funeral, as if you have known that person for a long time, when in fact you have never met the person that has passed. To close I highly recommend Alison and wouldn’t hesitate to work with her in the future.”

“Alison, I can’t thank you enough for what you did today. I know it can’t have been easy doing this for a friend, but you were amazing. Everything came together so smoothly, thanks to you, and it helped towards making what was a difficult day into a less stressful day. From the bottom of my heart, thank you. x
